THE MAISON
EVERY MAISON BEGINS WITH A VISION.
Ours began with a journey.
At the beginning, there were no collections, no windows, no strategy.
There was only one question.
Where does an authentic Panama hat truly begin?
To find the answer, Marco Tibiletti, known today as Mr. Panama, followed the story of the hat back to its true origins, travelling through Ecuador and meeting the people who still preserve its soul.
Far from the great cities, in places where time is still measured by the movement of hands, he watched Toquilla fibre slowly take shape.
One weave after another.
One day after another.
Each hat carried the knowledge of a family, the memory of a land and a tradition passed down without shortcuts.
In those hands, Mr. Panama did not simply see a product.
He saw a culture that deserved to travel.
That is how Panama Hatters was born.
Not as a brand built around a trend, but as a bridge between two worlds.

THE JOURNEY
FROM ECUADOR TO ITALY.
Every Panama Hatters creation begins in Ecuador, where Toquilla is woven by hand according to an ancient craft.
Then the journey continues in Italy.
Here, Mr. Panama interprets that tradition through an Italian sensibility shaped by proportion, lines, details and character.
Ecuador gives the hat its soul.
Italy gives it presence.
We do not alter what makes it authentic.
We bring it into the present.
From the meeting of these two cultures comes an Italian Maison devoted to the true Panama hat: faithful to its origins, yet created for the contemporary traveller.

DESTINATIONS
THEN CAME THE RIGHT PLACES.
At first, there were only a few hats.
Then they began to travel.
They appeared in the timeless atmosphere of Villa d’Este, on the shores of Lake Como.
They entered the international elegance of Mandarin Oriental and travelled through some of the most iconic destinations in the Belmond world.
They reached the Excelsior Vittoria in Sorrento, among terraces overlooking the Mediterranean, and Cavo Tagoo in Mykonos, where the white of the island meets the blue of the Aegean.
They arrived in Monte Carlo, at the Yacht Club de Monaco, on the decks of yachts and in places where travel becomes a way of life.
Over time, Panama Hatters was also chosen for projects and experiences connected with names such as Lamborghini, Ferretti and Riva.
Different names.
Different worlds.
United by the same pursuit of authenticity, recognition and excellence.
We never tried to be everywhere.
We chose to be where presence matters more than appearance.

PANAMAHATTERS
AN ITALIAN MAISON. AN ECUADORIAN SOUL.
Today, Panama Hatters is an Italian name devoted to the authentic Panama hat.
An independent Maison, still guided by its founder, creating collections and developing exclusive projects for hotels, resorts, yacht clubs, golf clubs, companies and international events.
Every creation carries the same code.
An authentic fibre.
A handmade craft.
An Italian vision.
And a destination still waiting to be reached.
Because at Panama Hatters, a hat is not the final detail of an outfit.
It is the first sign of presence.

MR. PANAMA
THE FOUNDER MOVES THROUGH EVERY PART OF THE MAISON.
Mr. Panama does not stand outside the Maison.
He moves through every part of it.
From his encounters with artisans and the selection of fibres, to the creation of collections and the relationships with the hotels and brands that have chosen Panama Hatters.
His name was not created as a character for communication.
It was earned through years lived inside the world of the authentic Panama hat.
Through journeys, encounters, intuition and the determination to transform an ancient craft into a contemporary identity.
His story, however, deserves a chapter of its own.
PANAMAHATTERS
CREATED TO TRAVEL.
We do not create hats for a single season.
We create travelling companions for those who move through the world naturally and never need to raise their voice to be recognised.
Crafted in Ecuador. Designed in Italy. Created by Mr. Panama. Chosen by the world’s most iconic destinations.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY
EVERY PANAMA CARRIES MORE THAN WOVEN FIBRE.
Every Panama carries more than woven fibre. It carries responsibility.
There are journeys measured in miles.
And others measured in generations.
Long before a Panama Hatters hat reaches a luxury hotel, a yacht club or a traveller somewhere in the world, its story begins in small Ecuadorian villages, where weaving is not simply a profession.
It is a family heritage.
A way of life.
A future.
For us, protecting this heritage means much more than preserving a traditional craft.
It means protecting the people behind it.
Every collection we create helps support artisan communities that have woven Panama hats for generations, guaranteeing fair and stable work while preserving techniques that machines will never replace.
Some of our collections are produced exclusively to sustain smaller villages where weaving remains the primary source of income.
Others are born from a simple idea.
Nothing should be wasted.
The remaining fibres left after weaving are transformed into travel accessories, bags and handcrafted objects, giving new life to materials that would otherwise disappear.
Recycling, for us, is not a marketing strategy.
It is a gesture of respect.
Respect for the material.
Respect for the artisan.
Respect for the journey.
We also believe that authenticity begins with responsibility.
For this reason we work only with workshops that share our values, personally monitoring production and refusing any form of child labour or unethical manufacturing.
Luxury has meaning only when every hand behind it is treated with dignity.
This is the world behind every Panama Hatters piece.
A world built on craftsmanship.
On people.
On places.
And on the belief that the most beautiful journeys should always leave something behind.
Never waste.
Always value.
